The Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Department

The Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Department

Established in 2013, the Hematology Department has been a vital resource for patients with blood disorders. Our dedicated team of hematologists, nurses, laboratory technicians, and support staff, offer comprehensive care to patients with a range of blood disorders; including anemia, bleeding disorders, clotting disorders, and blood cancer such as leukemia.

In our efforts to diagnose, treat, and manage blood disorders, we utilize a variety of diagnostic tools and techniques, including imaging tests including MRI or CT scans, as well as specialized laboratory tests and procedures.
In 2016, we expanded our services to include bone marrow transplant, using the latest technology and equipment to ensure the highest level of efficiency and accuracy in diagnosis and treatment.
Over the years, we have successfully performed 12 autologous bone marrow transplants. The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, and our department was temporarily repurposed to care for infected and isolated patients then.

The department is currently undergoing renovations and is set to reopen in the coming year. In addition to continuing to offer autologous bone marrow transplants, we plan to introduce allogeneic transplants, as well as further expanding the range of care for patients with blood disorders.
